How can pilates help me?
Most of us live with some general imbalances in our bodies and are usually not aware of how these imbalances can affect movement patterns and create an environment ripe for inefficiency and eventually injury.
Pilates is a systematic method of exercises meant to help stabilize, stretch, and strengthen the body accordingly to allow it to reorganize and move with more efficiency.
The purpose is to be able to complete all of your daily tasks with ease and "zest", whether you are a professional athlete or just making sure you can get on and off of the floor as you get older.
Classical Pilates refers to the traditional method of exercises founded by Joseph Pilates with the purpose of achieving complete coordination of body, mind and spirit.
It is in the honoring of the Pilates Principles that the depth of the work is achieved. These Principles are traditionally cited as: Breath, Concentration, Centering, Control, Precision and Flow.
